WHAT IS GYHA BOARD OF DIRECTORS?
The GYHA Board of Directors is a governing body responsible for organizing and operating ice hockey programs such as “Try Hockey for Free (THFF)”, “Learn to Play” and “8U” programs in Greensboro.
The GYHA’s governing value is “FUN HOCKEY FOR KIDS” and board’s primary objective is to instill in each participant the love, the appreciation, the knowledge of the game of ice hockey, the ideals of fair sportsmanship, the development of leadership skills on/off the ice, and commitment to community service. GYHA exemplifies the principles and philosophies of USA Hockey through EXCELLENCE IN COACHING and develops the finest youth hockey players possible.
READY TO JOIN GYHA BOARD OF DIRECTORS?
The GYHA Board of Directors election is coming up in APRIL 2024 and our organization is currently accepting applications for multiple board positions. The office term for all directors is fixed for three (3) years with an upcoming term of 2024-2027. All Board Positions require a minimum of 5 hours per week of participative activity. GYHA Board is action-oriented and requires each member to be an active member on at least one of many working committees. The application must be submitted on or before FEBRUARY 18, 2024 to be eligible for consideration.
